A lot of away days are well organised and completely forgettable.
People sit, absorb, nod, and head back to work. Three weeks later the only evidence anything happened is a slide deck nobody opened. The conversations that needed to happen didn't. The thing that needed to shift didn't.
We've spent more than a decade working out what makes the difference. It's not a better agenda.
FACILITATION DAYS
Our experience is that a single day, done well, can shift something months of meetings haven't.
We facilitate strategy offsites, team resets, culture conversations, leadership forums, and cross-agency collaborations. We do this for groups from small executive teams to 100-plus person conferences. The size may change but honestly the approach doesn't.
We understand what this specific group needs at this specific moment, design toward that, and stay honest about what's actually in the room.
We know how to hold difficult conversations without losing people. We know when to slow down and when to push. People leave with something they didn't have when they arrived and that could be a decision made, a dynamic named, or direction they can move in.

LEADERSHIP PROGRAMMES
Multi-session programmes for leadership cohorts, executive teams, and emerging leaders.
To be trusted to hold your organisational leaders development is not something we take lightly. We work typically in three to six sessions over several months and build around your organisation's moment, not a cut and paste of a curriculum we've run before.
We meet with you to design from the brief up. We use diagnostics to understand the group. We adapt as the programme runs because what a group needs in session four is rarely what you'd have predicted in session one. The frameworks are chosen for your group and pull on our vast experience of what lands with leaders and what makes a difference to the time in between the sessions.
Programmes we've built have worked through: significant organisational change, collective leadership in complex systems and teams under sustained pressure ... and that is only this year!

SPEAKING AND MC
We're regularly asked to facilitate national events, deliver keynotes, and MC leadership conferences. We don't present at people. We design the session because even a keynote has a shape, a purpose, an arc.
Topics we have spoken to lately speak to: leading through complexity and uncertainty, what AI is changing for leaders and what it isn't, psychological safety in high-performance environments, leadership as something sustainable over a long career. Penny is also a popular speaker at events sharing her knowledge on Menopause.
Our approach & style
Every session is designed, not improvised.
We start by understanding your goals, your people, and what's live in your organisation right now. From that we build something with clear outcomes, a deliberate arc, and room to meet what we actually find.
We draw on a wide range of methods and modalities built up over two decades of practice. We choose what's right for this group at this moment and never a signature move applied regardless of context.
One of our key values is that no two groups are the same. Treating them as if they were would be a disservice to the people in the room.
We want people leave knowing something they didn't know when they arrived about themselves, their team, or where they're going.
Who we work with
The question of "niche" comes up a lot. It's a hard one to answer as we don't like putting ourselves or you in a box, but if we had to answer we would probably say something like "we work with senior leaders in complex organisations on who they are as people, not just what they do as leaders".
You see, often leadership development stays on the surface. Frameworks, competencies, tools to apply on Monday. Yes its useful but it's not what is going to hold when the pressure is on, the system is contested, and the easy answers have already been tried.
We work with the leader as a person, not just a role. We dive into what's is underneath the patterns, what is the avoidance, the over-functioning, the held breath. Because how a leader is in themselves is inseparable from how they lead, and from the environment their people are working inside.
Our clients list shows we work in places where surface-level work won't hold.
Essentially each day we work to bring leaders back to themselves. So they can lead their people, hold their systems, and meet what is in front of them with more honesty, capacity, and discernment.
That is the niche. Leading from the inside out, in environments where it matters most.
